So I couldn’t contain my love for the film HER to just one post, so here’s another. I think it’s always the sign of a great movie when you are moved on so many levels, connected both visually and emotionally to the telling of the story. In a film market saturated with super heroes and machines clobbering each other, it’s refreshing to find films that are quiet in their development, and unconventional in their story lines. I wanted to share some more images from the film that focus on the beautiful sun-kissed, peach hues that carry through most of it. It is a soft, subtle style cue that resonated greatly for me. I am a sucker for that look in photos as well as film, a kinda 1970’s saturation, with unexpected light leaks, out-of-focus moments that allow you to take in both the environment and then the characters, and montages that could basically be converted into stills. Did I mention I love this film?
Have a great weekend!
