This is a fun DIY project that involves two of my loves, vintage design finds and hand lettering. We found some great old desert postcards at the Rose Bowl Flea Market awhile back and I’ve just been waiting for inspiration to hit on how to use them. When the country theme arose I immediately thought of them and how they provide the perfect backdrop for some western lettering. I researched some fonts, got some ideas, whipped out my brushes and acrylic inks and set off to work in making these nameplates for the boys. It really wasn’t hard, but did take a lot of layering to get the lettering opaque since the paper was not too porous. Throw in some great weathered frames and these look so fun on the wall in their room.
