So this post took a bit of time coming since we went to see Hausu at Cinefamily in April...BUT, I don't want to overlook it! It was a great experience spent with friends, film fanatics, and the director himself Nobuhiko Ôbayashi (flashing the universal love sign above, it transcended words). This was my first time going to the Cinefamily theater and they went all out with themed wallpaper, a Q&A, artwork, and awesome leather couches to watch on. I will definitely be looking at their schedule for more screenings. What can I say about the film itself? Japanese school girls, haunted mansion, disembodied heads, random musical sequences....ummm it's brilliant. Even if you are not a "horror" fan, I think you can stomach this one.
